True Life is natural life that cannot be manufactured, restored or recreated. Oru bestowed it as both a gift and a responsibility to influence the world wisely.
True Life can affect Zohm through recognition, memory and meaning, strengthening Names and shaping how their Zohm behaves.
Order and Chaos
Within True Life, Order and Chaos exist in balance. Chaos allows change, individuality and choice, while Order preserves bodily function, memory and learned behaviour. Neither can sustain life alone.
False Life
Oru’s Gift
Because True Life was Oru’s sacred gift, attempts to manufacture, restore or reproduce it are often considered inherently evil. Judgement may still depend upon purpose and intent. An automaton created to protect others may be viewed differently from an undead servant raised to enslave.
False Life imitates or corrupts True Life. Undead beings, automata and some unexplained lifeforms may move, speak or imitate emotion, but cannot genuinely influence Zohm or bestow Names.
Whether any being with False Life can eventually acquire True Life remains unknown.
