Oru

Oru is the sole creator of the world and the source of all True Life.

Oru created the world through love, then entrusted intelligent peoples with True Life and the power to bestow Names. This gift allowed them to shape Zohm through recognition, memory and meaning.

One of Oru’s servants, Obka, betrayed this purpose. Obka introduced evil teachings, encouraged the creation of Fell Names and divided belief into rival cults. Many of these faiths deny, ignore or replace Oru as the sole creator.

Through Obka’s influence, the power of Naming was repeatedly abused. Fell Names spread, evil deepened and the world answered with the Great Pulses—vast surges of Zohm that attempted to reset the damage caused by corrupted Names.

Though Memory Plagues erased generations of history and belief, Oru’s Name has never been completely forgotten.
