A Memory Plague follows a Great Pulse, when the world sharply reduces its Zohm flow after using the surge to wash away accumulated Fell Names.
After the First Great Pulse, languages, histories, Names and generations of memories disappeared. Many powerful effects weakened as recognition faded.
The Predicted Second Plague
The Second Great Pulse is now receding, and scholars expect another Memory Plague to follow. It may weaken remaining Fell Names, but it will also erase harmless knowledge, traditions and memories without distinction.
