Mech Wreck

Mech Wreck desert is a vast sea of soft sandy dunes, broken by colossal rusted cogs made from copper alloys.

Some gears are as large as hills, half-buried in the dunes with no known origin. Their exposed teeth and hollow centres often become foundations for settlements.

Mech Wreck’s weather is notoriously unstable. Calm skies can turn into violent sandstorms within seconds. Days bring punishing heat, while nights can become bitterly cold.

Ancient mechanical automata also wander the dunes. Most are damaged but some remain hostile and extremely dangerous.

Despite this, pockets of civilisation survive throughout Mech Wreck. Copperhelm, a large settlement in the north-central desert, is among the largest. Settlers build within the great metal ruins, using their curved frames as supports while scavenging the surrounding copper and bronze for materials.
