Kha’rot is a hostile expanse within the Gharob Region, covered in pale, salty ash and scattered remains.
Thick ash-fog often reduces visibility across Kha’rot, while violent Bonestorms sweep across the land without warning. Their abrasive winds can strip exposed skin and make open travel extremely dangerous.
Bonestorms also draw Bonestalkers and other undead servants of Master Shaal. These creatures follow in the storms’ wake, gathering remains to strengthen his forces.
Few travellers cross Kha’rot without protection, preparation and a clear route. Between poor visibility, unstable weather and the creatures that roam behind the storms, the Ashlands are considered one of the Gharob Region’s most dangerous areas.
