Choppers are traditional heavy swords found throughout north-eastern Gharob.
Either as a heavy one-handed weapon or comfortable two-handed choice, a Chopper combines the broad cutting edge of an axe with the reach and balance of a sword. Their thick blades are commonly forged from reclaimed scrap metal taken from the ancient copper and bronze relics buried across Mech Wreck.
Choppers are crude, heavy and destructive. A strong swing can break through tough armour, dense hide and other materials that lighter weapons struggle against.
Because the blade is typically made from scavenged metal, no two Choppers are exactly alike. Their shapes, weight and composition often depend on whatever usable material the smith could recover.
